Liebherr Slewing Bearings for Ship Cranes, Thrusters and Turrets

Liebherr slewing bearings for maritime use serve the slewing systems of ship and offshore cranes, azimuth thrusters, offshore access bridges, cable carousels and turrets/buoys. Depending on size they are one-piece or segmented. Liebherr-Components (Liebherr Group) builds large-diameter bearings, gearboxes, electric motors, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic motors and power electronics at ten production sites, working with classification societies such as ABS, BV, DNV and LR.

For turrets and buoys that must transmit very large forces for decades, Liebherr provides custom designs with extensive validation, offshore seals and protection against salt-air corrosion.
