Liebherr main bearings (moment bearings) support the rotor of wind turbines from 2 MW upwards, built on 30 years of Liebherr wind experience. Liebherr has supplied components for thousands of wind turbines, from 800 kW units to multi-megawatt offshore turbines, and works with virtually all major turbine makers.
Two main designs – double-row tapered and triple-row roller bearings – are optimised for cost and function, with sealing systems for continuously rotating bearings, and are validated on Liebherr’s in-house test bench.
Key features
- Double-row tapered or triple-row roller
- Sealing optimised for continuous rotation
- Oil- or grease-lubricated versions
- Validated on in-house main bearing test rig
