Liebherr Slewing Drives for Ship Cranes, Jack-ups and Thrusters

Liebherr slewing drives power the slewing systems of ship and offshore cranes, jack-up systems, azimuth thrusters, offshore access bridges and gear-ring winches. Number and size are chosen by installation, redundancy and power needs. Liebherr-Components (Liebherr Group) builds large-diameter bearings, gearboxes, electric motors, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic motors and power electronics at ten production sites, working with classification societies such as ABS, BV, DNV and LR.

Two-, three- or four-stage planetary units with a one-piece case-hardened and ground output shaft deliver high power density and reduced rotational play for exact positioning, matched to Liebherr slewing bearings.
