ZF SHIFT Modular Powertrain Platform for Wind Turbines

The ZF SHIFT modular powertrain platform extends the SHIFT gearbox concept into a complete powertrain: ZF engineers the main bearing assembly and gearbox in-house and combines them with a generator selected for the project. ZF Wind Power has more than 20 years of powertrain expertise and over 3,000 powertrains delivered worldwide.

One platform covers both high-speed and medium-speed architectures, so turbine makers can choose the optimal configuration for each application. Offshore, ZF has shipped more than 10 GW of drivetrain capacity in collaboration with Vestas.
