ZF Generator Side Integrated Medium-Speed Gearbox (8.0 – 9.5 MW)

The ZF generator side integrated medium-speed gearbox is designed for turbines with medium-speed generators. ZF Wind Power introduced its medium-speed prototype as early as 2009 and is among the leaders in this drivetrain type. ZF Wind Power (part of ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Germany) brings over 45 years of wind drivetrain experience; its SHIFT gearbox family runs in more than 65 GW of installed capacity worldwide, onshore and offshore.

Integrating gearbox and generator gives a compact drivetrain suited to large turbines, especially offshore.
