Liebherr Hydraulic Pitch System for Wind Turbines

The Liebherr hydraulic pitch system is an all-in-one solution combining hydraulic cylinders, a hydraulic power unit, manifolds, control system, accumulators and a gearless blade bearing to set blade position. Liebherr has supplied components for thousands of wind turbines, from 800 kW units to multi-megawatt offshore turbines, and works with virtually all major turbine makers.

Liebherr cylinders are built for continuous vibration and high-frequency short-stroke duty with low-friction, leak-free seals; power units and piston accumulators are also developed in-house.
