3Wtape BT-20A polyethylene-backed bitumen tape for external corrosion protection of steel, oil, gas and water pipes; peel strength 1.5 N/mm, application 10–80 °C, service life over 15 years.
3Wtape BT-20A is a polyethylene anticorrosion adhesive tape: a polyethylene backing with bitumen adhesive plus stabilisers and additives.
Its main use is preventing external corrosion on metal pipes so they keep their full service life.

How to apply
- Inspect the pipeline: the surface must be smooth and free of impurities and rust
- Remove dust, oil and contaminants; the pipe must be dry, then wipe with cleaning solvent
- Apply primer to protect against oxygen and moisture
- Wrap the tape and smooth it to avoid wrinkles and ripples
- An outer paint coat can be added for extra water, oxidation and UV resistance
Packaging and storage
- Size: 10 cm × 15 m × 1.0 mm, 12 rolls per carton
- Store dry and cool below 40 °C; protect from freezing
- Shelf life: 12 months
