Function
The exhaust duct carries high-temperature gas from the turbine overboard and must keep its shape under heat and vibration, which calls for stiffened construction and qualified welds.
Manufacturing technology

Fabrication process
Laser/waterjet cutting → press forming → single-piece machining → welding/brazing assembly → vacuum heat treatment → final machining → mechanical joining (riveting, bolting) → final inspection (FPI, CMM, vision measuring).
